Things drop off a bit after the Christmas purchasing hangover when wallets run dry, but start ramping up a bit some more towards February, when Tax Season starts to kick in.

I actually always did terribly during the holiday season, and better afterwards. Affiliate marketing earnings during the holidays is extremely polarized, since many programs (including Amazon) reward earnings to the affiliate who generated the most recent click. Sure, there's a lot of buyers, but there's also a lot of competitors.

 

The Black Friday season is basically one of those situations where a ton of earnings go to the top 1% or whatever IMO.

And of course, it also depends on your niche. Some niches are more evergreen (i.e., business-related ones), while others (i.e., toys) are more seasonal.

It also helps to be in tune with general trends, just like with watching the stock market.

For example, when a new 50 Shades of Grey movie comes out, kinky sex toys will spike in popularity for a bit.
