I mean a lot of people go through their whole lives being physically out of shape, and are permanently stuck with a shitty diet they never outgrow, which tends to result in a less appealing appearance than any tattoo you can get, so...

With some exception for some terrible lead/mercury-heavy inks, the shitty lifestyles people live make a much more dramatic impact on their bodies than some ink trapped beneath the surface layer of the skin.
