12/08 - Freezing Friday!

I'm bashing the great state of Chicago and all of its not-so-great sports teams.

Other folks are working out their relationships and building bonds of friendship that span distances not yet measured.

I feel like this was the most reasonable thing I just saw scroll past my screen.. so.. thanks dude.

My apologies I thought you were the mod who deleted my post. And another fun thing is trying to play Dance Dance Revolution in a bar full of rednecks. Having a dude telling me to cluck my head like a chicken while trying to beat Why Not on doubles is an experience never to be forgotten.

 

The job that I had issues with was working at a resort. I ended up just wearing a watch over it whenever the boss was around. My current job is just supervising a computer lab at my University and they don't care at all about tattoos.

Maybe people who are overly defensive of their shitty opinion expressions are the reason a lot of people that are hurt/offended by things stay quiet

Honestly though, a nicer way of saying what I just said would be that oftentimes if someone's feelings are hurt by something, they'll be too afraid to speak up because people are generally fiercely defensive of their statements/opinions, and being hurt by the thing already puts them in a position to not want to risk further emotional stress by speaking up.

 

When I was about 8 years old my sister took ballet and I thought she looked so cool doing it I decided to do it as well. I had fun doing it and it helped me get out of going to one of the worst high schools in my city so I can't knock it.

 

Said like a man who has never been to the Turk family Christmas. This is home to me!

 

if thanksgiving is war, christmas is WW2

Me with mod powers would probably be a terrible thing. Anyway, That does sound like exactly the kind of shit i'm talking about, that I don't understand how people don't understand it's unnecessary and how hurtful it can actually be. I had one like that, where there was a guy in my high school who would moo loudly every time I walked down the same hallway as him. It's shitty and a 100% example of people needing to think before they open their mouths.

 

Ohhhh. Alright I thought the ballet & the weight thing were connected like ballet was the weight loss exercise choice and I was curious why. My bad, nothing offensive/harmful meant just my own curiosity.

Yes but you left and caused this mess so I'm withholding my love like a mature adult does to show his/her disapproval of your behavior.

 

But nobody has gotten drunk and told me I was a mistake yet! It's not quite christmas spirit yet.
