You can actually hot swap most SATAs - I wouldnt recommend it.

 

Never an issue for me.

Just watched my first C-SAT that was not a 1.12. I half expected the patient to ask if they could do something to help, hold a knot or something.

 

It is less hot swapping and more unplugging a disabled drive and plugging a new drive in. I had to figure out what drive was the disabled drive first though lol
