Maybe i'm going crazy, but I have a random question. I do Zs every morning and usually just work on them consistently as they come in... this morning I did probably 50 of them and then decided to jump on Facebook and was just going to wait until my queue filled up a little bit. My queue didn't fill at all while I was on facebook for about 10 minutes. After I exited facebook and went back to the MTURK page, they started rolling in again. I use PandaCrazy and had it on the whole time. Is there something in the coding where if you go to another website that it effects the PANDA process or something? haha

 

I've wondered myself...at times as long as I work on them they come in, if I ignore them they stop.

 

Depending on your computer, using up memory elsewhere can make it less efficient at grabbing things on a loop

 

maybe Facebook takes up a lot of processing power

 

Is panda crazy in it's own window or a tab?

 

For the past few weeks it's been like that. I only get them if I'm actively working on them. I can stare at 2 in the queue forever but will only get another one if I finish one.

I actually did look at the coding yesterday because it's been pissing me off, but it hasn't been updated in a while and this is a new issue. And it only happens with web eval Zs, and nothing in the coding triggers it. Granted, I'm not great with code, but I'm fairly certain.

I have 2 separate windows that I use. I have one window on my left monitor that only has my MTURK Queue open. I have one window on my right monitor that has the forum, OW and PC all in separate tabs

 

If they are in tabs their polling rate will be limited by the browser.
