I'm lucky in that my manager is very chill emoji_grinning about this kind of situation. Her first rule is be safe, she doesn't want to hear about you on the news because you got in a crash. Everything else is negotiable.

There used to be a guy in my team who lived three minutes from the office. Every time we got this kind of weather he'd drive his SUV into the office and spend the next four hours crowing about how he was the only one in the office, holding down the fort, office was deserted but he was in there, blah blah blah. It's like, yay, you do you, bro. Me, I can do everything from home and it doesn't do anyone any good for me to be on the road two hours each way in bad conditions driving a car that's not meant to be used in that kind of weather.
