Please don't keep using dropbox as a reference. I detest that service. I use AWS S3 because it was First and I have over 8TB of files up there I don't plan on moving anytime soon. In the beginning of this debate I just made the statement/observation that it was slow and since I am a power downloader/uploader it was an educated observation

I'm using Dropbox as an example because they still have the biggest market share out of the cloud providers in the same space. I'm sorry you personally don't like their service, but they are a relevant example.

It is slow the way you use it. That's the distinction I've been making. It's all relative man. Insert whatever other cloud storage service you want and my answer still fits. They use other technologies alongside S3 (or any other file repository for that matter) to speed it up. Period.

 

The challenge is forcing a draw against a computer that isn't really trying.
