Today, I was the lady who pulled a can of cat food out of my purse in the middle of a store.

Matt: DID YOU JUST PULL OUT CAT FOOD?! FROM YOUR PURSE?!

Me: I want to compare ingredients because I’m 50% sure these two are the same quality for different prices.

Matt: it can’t be that big of a deal

Me: REALLY?! Cause it looks like this brand is 34 cents cheaper a can FOR THE SAME THING.

Matt: oh...Ok. Good catch. That’s actually a really good price. Doesn’t Bearnie eat like 7 of those cans a week?

Me: AT LEAST 7

Then I put like 40 cans of cat food in my cart like the crazy cat lady I am.

Pe: 15 pounds of duck lentil dry food and more wet food than I’m proud to admit.

Same disclaimer, I'm not a tax expert blah blah blah, but I think the tax software is probably just trying to keep it straight for users, since I'm pretty sure it all ends up on line 21 of a form1040 anyways.

"If you're not an employee of the payer, and you're not in a self-employed trade or business, you should report the income on line 21 of Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, and any expenses on Schedule A (Form 1040), Itemized Deductions."

That would have been smarter. I also could have just googled the food on my phone.

I have a giant purse and it tends to have cat food rolling around from the trips I take with Bearnie. I could pretend that I consciously took the cat food with me, but come on. We both know I already had it with me now.

It’s...I’ve really reached peak crazy cat lady this year.

Me 3 years ago: I’ll never be one of those crazy cat people. I don’t even think I should keep this cat.

I occasionally have a nightmare where I did adopt Bearnie out to someone else, and I have to check that he’s still here.
