Worth noting that at least for Tampermonkey, it might not even make a difference for parsing purposes whether different versions of jQuery are used. I've debugged scripts where it seemed that the code fro the @requires were simply flattened into one virtualized context. And even if you turn scripts off, the dev still has to check every script against every frame to see whether that frame is a valid target (and I think some other overhead processing).

That's probably a major reason why my method of running a totally separate profile with only a handful of scripts for CIs is so zippy. And it being so fast to begin with is why I'm so sensitive to slowdowns that some other people consider minor.

Yeah, I mean it never hurts to try, but they're just such a popular requester that I seriously doubt they care to reverse a block. Why would they bother?

But I never discourage people from trying things, even if the likelihood of success is low.

They have no idea what they're talking about on this line. Maybe if someone explained to them that a "soft block" is just a revoke of a required qualification, they'd understand. Oh well. Lol.
