I need a new browser that is script friendly (and not firefox, it has it's own scripts and uses)

Try Torch browser, it is chrome based and you can use all your turk scripts as well

no, @Randomacts and others were talking earlier about an "update" to chrome where stuff that isn't in focus doesn't get memory or something any more.

80% of it was over my head, but the end result is, I can't start a search in hitDB, go to another window and come back and have it done, because it will stop running while I'm not in the tab. Same with reloading email, even live update here is getting screwed with.
