You should be. Did you get someone to scope the sewer? That's the one thing we didn't do and turns out we have orangburg pipes that need to be replaced, get this though, our house is up on a hill and the sewer connection to the city line is 25' down. First quote to fix that was $15,000.. but we found a more reasonable guy at around $5,000. That first company was trying to fleece us hard.

 

my plans from here on out are to just hire @GreenMachine842 for anything i need.

 

Granted our house is over 100 years old. You probably don't have orangeburg.

 

Septic is all good. The well isn't maintaining pressure - but they're going to be fixing that before closing

 

You're probably golden then. Plumbing, roof, and electric are the main concerns and as long as you got a decent person to do the inspection I wouldn't worry about it too much.

 

Old house club

We got lucky with this one and they had just replaced the plumbing all the way to the main thing recently, and the roof and siding were both redone after a big hailstorm a few years back.

Someone paid the big bucks to put in a basement here. Previous owners put on insulated siding before putting the house on the market too. Our winter bills are pretty small... summer though... we gotta figure out a way to bring down our cooling bill.

Old houses are pretty awesome! Gotta get dem good bones.

 

This might totally get me creeped on (come and find me @Hummingbirdee bb ) but i'm totally not worried about that because if one of y'all shows up at my house i'll probs just make you cookies or some shit. Anyway all this talk of houses is making me want to show mine off because I love it and am proud of it and all that jazz.
