Okay, well I disagree with my boss. So I tell them so. I do that all the time, in a professional manner.

I think anyone saying "you can't read that fast" is full of bullshit, which is why we now have things like "cook your timers"

I would argue for that if they were paying me to specifically read slowly and that was the task I was being paid to do, but I highly doubt the name of the task was READ SLOW EXPERIMENT

Except that they explicitly asked in the instructions. It's their money, they can ask for what they want.

If you can't be faffed to read instructions and follow them, don't do it.
