    You haven't been through what I've been through. I'd welcome a data cap to get rid of the 30-50 outages per day, every day. Either way, I switched to AT&T and have had maybe two outages lasting a few minutes in the middle of the night over the past two years.

    It likely is your area more then anything.. I had charter last year and experienced 0 outages not related to someone driving into a power pole that caused the power of the whole block to go down.

    I had three techs come out. They couldn't determine the problem. The last guy simply told me, "Look, if this doesn't resolve it and it isn't affecting more customers, they're not going to do anything." That's when I switched.

    While Charter absorbed TWC, they were distinct companies up until very recently.

    True so far, TWC has turned into Spectrum here, but no data caps at all which is nice, and they advertise the hell out of the fact they don't have caps, I hope it stays because with ATT Uverse it was 250 gb a month and I can blow thru that in a week

    It would appear so. Granted, I also had it in another area approximately forty miles away before I moved here. It would drop numerous times per day, as well. It wasn't as bad as it was here, but it still wasn't anything worth paying for. Not to mention, their On Demand services have been shit in various other locations I've lived in spanning many years. Just seems like they can't handle their shit. At the absolute minimum, they can't handle this region.

    Spectrum is the best option out by us. At&T is hot garbage and even thinking about dealing with them makes me want to rage punch a wall.

    I had an ongoing issue with TWC for a couple of years where my place was the only one affected by connections dropping every hour on the hour and timeout horrible pings and such and I had over 12 techs come out and not one could figure it out, they said it was only my place, finally someone with some smarts figured it out and fixed my issue, as where all the others wanted to rewire my whole building.

    Not sure if they do that here, but thanks for the info, I will deff look into that, as I am already wired for Uverse from the last time

    They did not tell me in so many words, but from what I could tell, it was coming from the street over and for whatever reason it only affected my place SMH

    I used to have issues with numerous drops per day. After calling a handful of times they finally sent out a tech (they felt like resetting/refreshing the modem on their end would fix it, but it never did; they also tried to blame my router since I had my own even though I explained over and over again that the internet light on the modem kept turning off indicating no internet connection). The tech first found that they had two modems active on my account, when I only used one, and he said that could somehow cause connection issues. Then, he went up to the pole at the end of our yard and found that it was dropping there; it was a problem with their shit all along. I haven't had an issue with dropping since.

    Moral of the story: Don't let them convince you it's not their fault. Usually it is.

    Yeah I understand, but TWC did give me fits for a few years, but overall Spectrum is doing well except for today when I wanted to RAGE quit them for making me miss some good EZ monies... lol
