I had TWC go as far as to blame my PC, which was complete BS as it was NEW and I know a thing or two about computers, it's always funny when the tech blames your computer, and then miraculously the connection starts to work just fine...

Haha that's great. I got real tired of them saying every single call, "You should probably contact the company who made your router and see what channel it should be on blah blah blah." What part of "It's not the router or JUST the wi-fi, the modem is losing connection" did they not understand?!

 

Spectrum is total trash. It kicked me off during the Noblis this afternoon too. Husband ran new lines and moved the router. That solved the problem for about five minutes and then it crapped out again. They give you pos routers and upsell you to a package that their equipment can't possible handle. Then a service technicians comes out and says they will run new lines and all they do is fiddling with the connectors and play on their phone. Or wait around 3 hours for their buddy to bring them a new router. Ugh. What sucks is there aren't really any other reliable options in my area.

 

Anyone else feel like the 'call and ER' HITs look a little skeezy? I don't like phone call HITs where you pretend to be a legitimate customer are whatever anyway, but I feel like people in the ER may have better things to do than counting how many people are in the waiting room.

If you are going to blame their hardware you know that you can get your own... right?

I have to give MAJOR PROPS to Sara Estrada who is the requester for the Hit my accessibility software submitted instead of opening up the survey on Sunday. I immediately wrote to her and apologized explaining I was in the middle of setting up a new machine with all my quirky accessibility software and it messed up on me. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make certain I was actually able to complete the survey and send the code back to her rather than giving me a rejection. I have to admire her for her kindness. My wildchild Hit has been accepted, approved, and is pending payment as we speak.
Makes one believe there are actual requesters out there that DO care about workers at MTurk.
