Really? Did you discover that during your testing? I didn't know that at all.

It's more likely that Masters expanded to value different kinds of HITs. Masters used to be given to those who only did volume of HITs, so people who did writing and long transcriptions were unlikely to get Masters even if they were otherwise good workers and would qualify on other grounds.
