04-05 - Full Throttle Thursday!

My right leg goes berserk in wet/cold weather. I put it down to a motorcycle accident when I was 22. A broken right leg doesn't sound too bad, except that they had to put in screws on either side of a break in one of the bones, and the screws get held together by metal contraptions surrounding your leg. If you get bored with C-SATS because they're too tame, search Google Images for "external fixator tibia".

 

Hey I have that too. It's kind of a huge pain in the ass. Luckily I'm not also getting teeth ripped from my skull.

 

This is not what I pictured when I played katawa shoujo.

 

If your eyes are really bad, you might try two pairs of glasses. I have driving glasses with the lenses set for vision at a distance so I can drive, and office glasses. The office glasses are trifocals. Most of the lens is ground to help me see at about 18 inches from my face. It's a big help because now I can read the monitor or see what is on my dinner plate without leaning forward really close and squinting. The bottom of the trifocal is set for about 8-10 inches away so I can see things close-up, and the very top is around 8-10 feet so I can walk around the house without bumping into things. The office lenses and frames were actually quite a bit cheaper than just the lenses for my driving glasses, because I need a really extreme prescription for driving. The offices glasses are great. I can really see things at my desk now.

Coincidentally, never did find that tooth.

It was rather tedious and repetitive. Not saying not to do it, but no idea what kind of bonus I got, it doesn't tell you at the end. Think it was around a half hour.

I did one of these guys HITs a couple months ago, which was very similar- but involved judging the trajectory of ships. I was VERY disappointed in the bonus. It was something like 60 cents or something (I don't actually remember exactly) and it took over an hour IIRC.

This HIT gave me flashbacks of it - so I tossed mine back.

 

I've also needed glasses pretty much my entire life, but my mom never really followed up on my doctor's appointment and I have zero motivation to leave the house as an adult so I guess I'm going to be nigh blind in my right eye forever.

If it is easily scriptable it might be worth making a converter. Whenever @ThisPoorGuy gets around to it I expect a few other people to have the same issue.
