    I received a response from the requester. She accepted the task and manually approved the bonus, which was appreciated. There wasn't any other communication, which was, I felt, less than was required by the situation. It isn't immediately clear whether the requester is a student studying abroad, and therefore not necessarily a native English speaker, so I'll reserve any judgement as to the quality or quantity of feedback except to say it was less than I would have expected.

    I ended up scaling back my message to the requester's IRB chair to be a message explaining how I felt the task was unfairly compensated and incorrectly designed, rather than going full paperclip apocalypse.

    E: I've updated my review to reflect the response I received from the requester
