    You don't need ifixit's kit. They use a fairly standard torx that you can find online.

    It is still a pain in the ass though.

    I took mine to the formula shop and said, "FIX IT PLEASE! FIX ITTTTTT PLEASEEEEE!"

    A few hours later, I had a new screen in.

    And that was the time I broke my macbook screen freshman year of college lol.

    ifixit does teardowns on all their new products and they had issues with the iMac pro. I went on the site to see what was needed to upgrade the memory and hard drive on an iMac for a customer and I couldnt believe it. You had to de-bond the lcd from the frame and put new putty on it when you assembled it. I said I just wasnt interested in doing it.
