02/11 - Satisfying Saturday!

I think some of us just shouldn't mess with PC's at ALL. It's such a huge headache and very stressful to set the thing up, even opening it up and figuring out how to remove the parts is a lot harder than you would think

How much does it cost to have a PC shop assemble a PC or swap parts in it? I'm wondering if it's still a good deal to buy spare parts and upgrade your PC that way(by having the people at a shop put the new parts in, etc)

Building a PC is essentially playing with legos. Just make sure the cpu + ram are compatible with the mobo and you're good to go.

yea my socket is an intel 1150 and my current processor is i3 4150 at 3.5ghz not as bad as i thought it was , and damn anything better is kind of expensive! lol

 

that should be fine for turking and light gaming. If you want to do more serious gaming you could consider saving up for one of these. You can transfer your earnings (part or all) to amazon gift card to force yourself to save for it. Just make sure you motherboard supports it as it may need a BIOS update and you'd have to be comfortable doing one. It can brick your mobo if done incorrectly.

thats a great idea to use gift card to save for it! i should be getting a 62.50 gift card from survey comet they said i would get it the same day but still no email :/ . well its the right socket how else would i check if its compatible i think my mobo is asus b85m e/csm like this one https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131991 . maybe i should save for an SSD instead i cant tell if my processor or HD is the weakest link in my pc

 

What do you mostly use your pc for? What kind of performance increase are you looking for? Do you game with it and if so, what video card do you have?

 

I have Radeon HD 6670 1gb I don't think its that great cause it was like 50 bucks, I do a little bit of everything , gaming and turking mostly, I have 8gb of ram, really I want it to be able to load up new tabs super fast when I already have like 10 going while turking and maybe get ready for games like gta6 whenever it comes out!
