They aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed as it is.

Every day they haven't set something on fire is a pleasant surprise.

 

Never in all my years of working with breed specific rescues and rescuing cats- have I ever heard of a ragamuffin

 

Most of the time, cats aren't referred to by specific breed anyway. They're all just cats.

I haven't either but seeing how there were multiple (potential) definitions I went with that versus "a person, typically a child, in ragged, dirty clothes."

For rescuers yes. But I know a few speciality rescues- One who rescues full breed- rarer cats. They don't do ragdolls usually though- Things like egyptian cats, bengals, big maine coons etc- is more what they get..as ragdolls..well...they are everywhere in shelters- or mixes of them :/
