Thats on par with HDD failure times but if you're having problems opening your files on that drive it might be too far gone. usually if you're having trouble transferring data off of a dying drive it's because the drive is crippling your OS so you cant do anything. if it's crashing explorer without being the OS drive that means it cant grab your data. I don't think I could ever Turk laptop again..... I use the one I bought last Fall for certain hits but there is no way I could make what I make on a laptop. Not sure how they do it, I see lots of people say they only use a laptop
