    So the first time we had my parents watch the cats while we were away after we got our second was fun. He's a Japanese bobtail (so basically no tail). We carefully took pictures of him so as to not show his back half online and then made no mention he did not actually have a tail. We got back and immediately called them up asking "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS TAIL?!?!?"
