    My mother died when I was nine from it, ( I know I know) and my youngest is just turning 9. He begs me all the time to quit, so I figured it was time.

    Quitting two things at once sounds like a terrible idea. Besides, nearly all the modern research says coffee is good for you. ;)

    It's tough, but you can do it! I quit cold turkey...the two things that helped were:
    1. I was broke at the time and packs run about $12-13ish.
    2. I had an old carton of my gf's mom's gross pall mall menthol ultra-light 100s in my trunk that I had been smoking because I was broke...chain smoking those made me want to vomit after a while. I put one out halfway through and never picked up another.

    I quit one time when I was 16 with mini chocolate peanut butter cups. Every time I got the craving for nicotine, I ate two or three.

    Oh, I do see some evidence now that smoking increases caffeine metabolism so it is good to cut back on the amount at least since it will be more potent than before.

    Isn't nicotine as well though? I know someone who takes it like you'd take caffeine/addy lol. Idk, never looked into it much, but 20s worth of convo gave me the impression the drug itself was "helpful" (maybe not great for ya) but the smoking part == cancer.

    Someone google all this for me, thanks.
