Personally, I would go wood over particle board cause particle board is fairly janky as I'm sure you know but it always comes down to personal preference. Let's just say The Bird has destroyed a headboard with particle board in the past and much prefers her wooden one!

 

No, this is AFTER he took cooking lessons awhile ago.

 

The only problem is that real wood costs about 4 times as much as particle board. It also weights about 10 times as much. I hate moving real furniture lol.
