there's a whole armchair internet sleuthing world like /r/gratefuldoe where people work tireless hours to connect missing cases to john/jane doe cases, named after a grateful dead fan who was a john doe until he was recently matched with his name which was super exciting. my favorite one is annandale doe, but i don't think there will ever be an answer for her.

there's also /r/missingpersons, /r/withoutatrace, and /r/missing411. i know it's reddit, and reddit is... reddit, but at the very least they're all great discussions and launchpads into other resources and communities. and an obligatory mention for /r/unresolvedmysteries because it's my favorite sub.

Here are a couple of tips:

We are testing for speed and accuracy, so please try and complete this task as quickly as possible. We are aiming for a submission time of 1 - 2 minutes with practice.

I bleached my hair yesterday and dyed it today. My hair is wet still so not photo ready yet but yup. Got rid of my natural gingerness and am now rocking blue hair
