PSA- As a parent, I vow, that I will never buy my 11yo daughter an iphone 8 plus, in effect, sending your child home to shame you for not buying him or her a seven hundred dollar phone. Now, I don't want to tell others how to parent, and if it were one child walking around with said device, okay...crazy none the less, but your biz. but I am talking over a dozen kids, with these expensive phones, making my kid think this is the established norm. It took me several years to cave on a phone at all, which I did because payphones are obsolete and I want my children to be safe. but don't create the norm of nearly 1k devices for absolutely no reason.Ughhh, just wanted to vent.

TLR--Parents, don't be assholes, buy your kids reasonably priced yet necessary equipment. Help other parents out by not giving kids everything, leaving room to teach lessons like responsibility, hard work, the joy of earning something themselves.

Comforting to hear it wasn't just me. Do you mind me asking what was the reason? For me it was: "Invalid survey code OR You did not provide the correct answers to all the control questions so we could not verify you understood the instructions. As a result, you could not participate in the survey."

I copied and pasted the code exactly as is, so I know it can't be that. As for the attention checks, if I recall correctly, the survey was supposed to boot me if I got the comprehension checks wrong, which it didn't. So, I don't think it's that either. It must be some error on their end. I emailed them for further clarification.
