Glad for this turker.... My sidegigs, sidegig, has something on the side for this reason. UHRS is my waiting in the office gig, Hilton is set times, another job that is quite nice when in season. And manually detassling corn in the harvest season for 16 an hour. I has 12 jobs I tell you.

Before I had this one, I had my iPhone 5 until it literally stopped working lmao.

Sure, I dropped it in a plane, but I had it for like almost 5 years first, so I didnt feel bad lol.

We have age range requirements already established and they get our old stuff at those ages. This has moved from iPod to iPhone. My kids are not allowed to have a phone until age 12. We have everything setup so that all of their texts create a duplicate copy on the computer. This way we can track them in real time. Essentially the dollar amount shouldn't matter, however, the newer model has better safety and tracking features for the parents. When we upgrade the kids get the old ones.

 

But you aren't ten years old! My daughter, bless her heart, she just doesn't have the concept of money down. She has a bank account, and she buys gifts for others etc... but it did nothing to really teach about how much a dollar is worth...When half her class has an 8+ She just wants one, no understanding of why that can't happen, especially still believing in Santa (in our house "those who believe shall recieve" which her older siblings have taken to protecting at all costs,lol).

 

Also glad to not be the only one. Makes it more likely it's something on their end. I was given the same reason as you. I addressed both points in my email. I mentioned that if there was a problem with the completion code I would have noted it in my Turkerhub review and sent her an email and that I certainly wouldn't turn in a hit I didn't receive a completion code for. I'll let you know when i hear back from them.

Oh yeah. I totally agree. I honestly struggled to upgrade myself at all, even tho I was using my phone for work so much and I’m perpetually attached to it.

It blows my mind small kids have a nicer phone lol. It seems bonkers to me. I feel ya.

I like this. I have passed mine on to some of ours, we had 5 still in the house last year, 7 the year before. She is the baby, and age is usually a good indicator, but my 17yo daughter has destroyed every phone she has been bought while the 11 yo has not. I never bought the older kids phones, they got them when they went to work and paid themselves. When the payphones were yanked from town the younger two got them. I tell ya, it is also cheaper now, 10$ extra per line vs by the minute 10 years ago.
