    I went to goodreads after I finished it to look up his other books, and good lord some of the reviews on Super Sad are scathing. Half of them are "OMG MASTERPIECE MOST PERFECTEST EVER" and the other half are like, "I made it to page 100 and threw it out the window, ran outside, lit it on fire, shit on it, ate it, and it was still better than the 100 pages I read." So, I figured asking the person who originally recommended it would have a more realistic perspective than the goodreads community, lol
