10/30 - Turnabout Tuesday!

Did you know the American cockroach is (relative to it's size) one of the fastest things on the planet?

 

First off, this part made me cackle:

And yeah I think he's definitely getting better. He doesn't really come up to me per se; I'd used to have to chase him around for a while to get him, but he's started running away much slower. He'll still like hiss at me occasionally but he's usually just fronting with that shit.

My cats like to do this too! I usually just go in for the nose bump as well though.

 

We have coyotes, which gets scary because they eat dogs.

omfg they LOVED the cabin we lived in. Pest control would just say, 'we can't really treat for this. they survive everything'

My dad has swooped me up many times from "hearing hogs coming" when we were out in the woods.
They're scary looking things, but they taste good!

I once woke up at like 3 AM because one was crawling up my pants leg. They're also big enough that you can hear them moving around if they get in the house, meaning no sleep at all until they are removed.

 

Yeah, I used to live in a suburb that was the furthest north suburb, so we were surrounded by nothing by forest and nature. Coyotes were a menace. Sometimes you'd hear gunshots go off in the middle of the night, like we lived in da hood, but it was just rednecks shooting coyotes.
