Yes! to the first part at least. I can't eat Kung Pao chicken because the peanuts in it. Peanut butter alone is fine chunky or smooth. As long as it's in my face because that is made with clouds and rainbows and unicorns lol.

 

I usually just cook with larger slices of onion so it's easy for me to seperate them all into Matt's food. I love the taste of carmelized onions! OR, I make them into a puree with my immersion blender along with some garlic and once it's incorporated into the rest of the dish you're all good. Immersion blenders are the bomb diggity!

(also, raw onions are gross, deep fried are awesome, glazed/sauteed are meh. They're more of a flavor thing for me)

sometimes i eat a plate of pickles for lunch. i often wonder how many pickles it would take to actually get sick. one of my gaming snacks is just a plate full of pickles, pepperoncini, and banana peppers. i have a problem but i don't mind.

you're nuts. i'd put sauteed onions on just about anything. sometimes i make meals that include sauteed onions just because i want the sauteed onions.

I'm honestly amazed how people really differentiate on taste in food. Mouth feel seems to be one key factor in how people perceive food. I've learned that I can eat anything if it works in the concept. Sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami need to be present always.

 

I blame it on my dad. He hates all "that crap" in everything. Growing up i didn't realize there were more things than salt, pepper and butter. I love cooking w/ garlic and onions and every once in awhile I'll slip something into something I bring over and he claims it's the best whatever he's ever had...until he finds a piece of onion or garlic.

I have a texture thing for beans and bananas. They leave my teeth all grimy and gross feeling...and I hate the taste so it's a win win for my tummy

 

Ugh... my husband always gets that. Sometimes he wants double walnut shrimp and I'm like that's a $1 extra each mr fancy pants. You gonna pay for it? lol
