Thank you for filling out the survey about your use of the Tracking Transparency extension. We've reviewed the responses and our log data and narrowed down on a bug with the data collection on our end; you will remain eligble for the rest of the study and bonus payment.

The extension has a background job that periodically reports usage logs to our server, and there were some issues on our end that resulted in this job being delayed in certain situations. It appears that on some browser configurations, the background job will only run after clicking on the toolbar icon or otherwise interacting with the extension, or the job will be scheduled to run at times when the browser is not open and therefore not run. After we sent out the previous email, we started to receive the delayed log messages from many users, which helped us determine the circumstances where they were delayed. We appreciate your cooperation and appologize for any misundertanding; we hadn't found this issue in our previous testing and debugging.

Regardless, none of these issues will impact your eligibility for Part 2 and the bonus payment. You do not need to take any further action besides keeping the extension installed. We will be sending out links to Part 2 in daily waves approximately a week after you installed the extension.
