YIPPEE KNEE REPLACEMENT
The trauma surgeon decided the osteotomy to level off my knee and realign it was at the very very best going to have a 50/50 chance of working so we are going for the total knee replacement. But my cartilage and ligaments are so far gone and the bone so out of place that they are going use my scans to have a 3D model made that they can actually hold pass around to a couple other doctors and figure out how to replace my knee. The thought is they may need to do it in at least 2 stages starting with lining things up and maybe grafting some new bone in. But these are problems for next year the trauma surgeon is getting ready to go on Christmas vacation and the joint specialist is leaving for Guana soon.

edit: scans showed no bone infection by they way so that was good news
