Why do people feel the need to put their shoe racks in the window? Does it do something magical? It's so tacky and annoying.

Uh, shoes in windows? Here the sunlight beating on the window would ruin them soooooo fast. Or the cold or moisture that builds up around windows in the winter.

I have literally never seen shoes stored in a window.

I can honestly say I would not even allow our tenants to do that.
