Did 26 of these and got 26 rejections with random being the reason why. Guess I am glad I wasn't able to do more.

Am a master's worker here with 350,000 completed tasks and probably got 5 rejections over the last 50,000 hits I did, so this is really annoying/ unfair in my honest opinion.

Guess I feel worse for workers whose approval rate isn't solid cause rejections like this when I first started turking were the reason I didn't get master's for a few years.

Wasn't the prevailing sentiment on TO $6/hr for years? TV was created because of the low standards on other platforms. A requester could get a full green profile for simply sending a mediocre bonus after a HIT & then people would feel sentimental towards them then go 5 bomb the profile.

Alternatively, a simple screw up of a survey code - which bears no material weight to the wage a worker can earn on the work, can send a profile into the red.

IMO TV has raised the floor of the metric that actually matters: hourly wages. Yeah, the trade off is more understanding in other areas because instead of a social justice platform we're working on business relationships but I def disagree with the assessment its a blanket "watering down" of expectations. More so, we've simply raised the expectations on the content provided by workers.

I'm also perfectly fine with your personal assessments on communication, and if you relayed those guidelines for your judgements I wouldn't fuss with your reviews. In general I'm OK with workers holding requesters to reasonable expectations, and 2 business days is totally reasonable There are plenty of workers who regard $10/hr as low pay for certain types of work & go by without any hassle because they're holding requesters to a higher standard. In contrast we hardly ever allow $3/hr work to be rated anything but low (misclicks notwithstanding).

Anyway, I know we wont agree here & that's fine, just throwing my 2c at the wishing well.

 

When they tested it on earnest german students, I'm sure they gave the whole 6.15 Euros to the starving children, but when you've been asked how many fatal heart attacks you've had 50 times or asked 20 times how much dirt is in an empty hole, you're emotionally armored against kids with bloated bellies and flies on their face.
