Well...it's official...I'm getting old. I have fallen twice in the last 5 days. The first time hurt my pride and my back just a little. Today, I went down to keep my dog from biting someone that just nonchalantly walked up the drive and through our gate. They were my husbands family, but my dogs didn't know them. Not smart on their part. I run out there before this woman gets eaten and I go down hard amid all the mud and DOG CRAP three dogs leave behind that we have been too lazy to pick up since it HAS been so wet and rainy, and I laid there wallowing in it for a solid five minutes before I could get myself up. As I'm laying there, I have some kind of mud mix between all my fingers and my dang youngest dog decides I want to play and pounces muddy feet first onto my left cheek and eye. This is not the best way to start Christmas Eve....I do not recommend it.

 

That's the kids' job, not yours.

 

My husband opened the door, told her just a second and walked to the back of the house to get his shoes on. She just kept walking on in. Which usually doesn't bother us, we don't mind who stops by, but she was not using common sense when it comes to three big, barking, growling dogs.

when I was a kid, my dad used to take my sister and I into the backyard to look at the dog poop. He called it reindeer poop. We believed him. We were dumb.

Well I had reindeer poop mixed with mud from head to toe, covered both arms and on my face...Merry Christmas.
