This part I certainly get, I have landed HITS that appear a nice rate of pay and then they get returned because the amount of work is just insane. I R&R'd one today, but I don't think those forward to the forum. It was read 20 reviews and each had a dozen or so ?'s and as you answered each one new questions would appear in drop downs from those....Anyhow, I am trying to become a more active and contributing turker here on the forum, so I might ask some seemingly stupid questions, but honestly, I'm just trying to learn so that my input can be valuable to others and my energy not wasted.

Bit of a tangent but semi-related, the reason I generally only enforce the pay sentiment guidelines one way (ie, I'll msg people rating $4/hr as good but not bother folks rating $10/hr as bad) is because (ignoring the argument that TO is "the voice of the prole") TV basically represents our community's (pref: wider worker community) sentiment about pay rates on the platform.

Nowadays if you google a requester the TV link will popup before TO in many instances since we give a lot more data out to Google than they do, and it helps a lot for what researchers to see is that crap work is rated as crap. Neat & color coded, crap. lol.

Its for sure impossible to quantify, so no way to estimate or judge if TV has had any meaningful impact on our economy, but I do know at least a handful of researchers/departments have taken notice of the more stringent thresholds we rate things on and follow their profiles to make sure they're in line with them, so impact wise its definitely not 0.

One of the things I really want to move toward in 2019 is again inching the goalposts up towards higher minimums for the guidelines again.

 

Mine was super slow too, but I just stuck with it because it was easy enough. I just watched a movie on the side while keeping my eye on it.
