I’m simultaneously annoyed and happy cause Scrag Man can only have soft foods and so he’s $$$ but I’m happy he feels secure enough to reject food cause he knows he won’t starve anymore.

I got Gizmo to eat some of the dry food when Dave was in the hospital cause we weren't home a lot and I just left some dry food in a bowl and he finally gave in a ate some. He still prefers the wet and the vet said it is better for him but hoping to be able to offer occasional dry food as it is a little cheaper than the wet and seems to fill him up longer

OHHH, YOU MISSED ALL THE FUN! Birdie found a super sad, drooling, deathly ill street cat and gained his trust for weeks before he finally let me take care of him (tho, he was still really pissed about that lol). He smelled like a garbage can, he was constantly drooling from the mouth infection, he was infested with ear mites, he could barely eat because of his badly healed broken jaw, and he's pretty deaf. He also bites lol. He's apparently 8-10 and was probably kicked out of a home at some point, cause he's volatile like a street cat but clearly not straight up feral. He hasn't tried to leave the house once! He had a ton of evidence of being hit and kicked and he's basically the most scraggly ass cat of all time, so you know that means I intensely love him.
