This SXSW viewing stuff is really fun.

 

Nah, cycling isn't very popular. Other than the Tour de France, I have to watch most races from European sources. Lacrosse is pretty niche but a pretty awesome sport, and curling is actually on tv quite a bit up in Canada.

MMA is definitely beyond niche status though, so maybe you'll get your wish. I remember renting UFC 1 from Blockbuster back in the 90's and needing to get parental permission for "excessive violence". The sport has come a long, long way since then, but it was actually kind of fun to watch the early tournaments and watch a true boxer fight a judo champion and stuff like that.
