    When I was a kid I accidentally closed a car door on my finger bad enough for the nail to do the whole purple/fall off thing.

    My Mom's comment was "bet you'll be more careful" (and she was right).

    Playing w/ a pencil during church service & accidentally stabbed myself w/ it when I dropped it on the floor & tried to grab it quickly. Still have the core or w/e stuck in my hand. Mom? "God just taught you a lesson now didn't he?"

    I'm not sure I have the best role model to respond to this with anything other than a laugh but maybe that changes once they actually show up lol.

    Nope. Mine hears "I bet you won't do that again will you? lmao" a lot. Of course if it's life threatening or a major broken bone (toes do not count here) I take it serious, but once kid is almost healed, refer to above quotes. lmao

    For a sec I thought you were talking about CT's food. And the thought of him being so grossed out by his own food, the very food he shoves in his mouth, he has to wear gloves is hilarious to me.

    I'm pretty sure my mom said "I bet you won't do that again" when my brother went sledding with me in the dark and ended up with a tree branch in his leg.
    Let me tell you, it's not easy to pull an 8 year old up a steep hill on a sled when he's bleeding all over the place.
