All this talk about low-carb and keto make me eventually want to go on it. I could stand to lose some weight. I know in the past I have done stuff like pre-cook bacon, sausage, hamburger, in chunks and put them in the freezer and just grab a handful of meat to add to something I'm cooking. Also buying stuff like precooked chunks of chicken works too.

 

A bit late to the talk because I went to take a shower, but my girlfriend and I plan on smart'ing our future home. I'm getting a Google Home for Christmas as the first step. My Chromecast is my main form of media consumption, so I'm really looking forward to when Netflix, Hulu, Twitch, HBO Go, Crunchyroll, etc add Google Home Support. It's going to be really cool to say something like "Okay Google, play the newest Game of Thrones episode on my Chromecast" instead of bringing it up on my phone and then casting it to the TV. My phone automatically brings up play/pause buttons for whatever the Chromecast is playing when it was cast from a different device, so I suppose it's setup to automatically detect whenever the Home casts something.

On a related note, my girlfriend and I are planning on getting married in 2018 and we're looking at ways of reducing the cost of the wedding while keeping a pretty nice ceremony/reception. I suggested that instead of hiring a DJ, we can just have Google Home be the DJ and someone can just say "Okay Google, Add X to the queue". She didn't seem amused, but I think it's a viable alternative lol.

I plan on starting it after the holidays, kind of figure I am setting myself up for failure if I try it before. I am cutting back on my carbs though so it won't be such a shock. Anyone that has done it have recommendations for websites or books for recipes, especially for slow cookers?

I have the opposite problem... If I set an alarm for a time, I almost always wake up 5 minutes before the alarm goes off. If its a schedule thing, then I wake up at that time on days that don't have the alarm too... which can suck. no sleeping in for me.

Hey, i had a quick question for you (or anyone that does surveys mostly, i picked you just because i know you do ^_^).

What do you normally do for panda efficiency? I seem to get too many pandas going in my panda crazy, and it seems like i catch lower amounts just because i have so many ;_;.

Do you wipe them after a certain amount of time? or just not panda them at all?

Every single named weight loss diet is capitalistic bullshit that was invented to get you to buy new products from diet books to diet meals. The only real diet is to count calories, eat adequate macro nutrients (which is shockingly easy) and stay under the calories you physically expend during the day (shockingly hard). paleo, mediteranean, weight watchers, etc. is all the same bullshit that tells you do to do this but by selling you crap and fads /RANT Eat less + exercise = lose weight. Outside rare genetic abnormalities its that simple

 

I should note that I believe that amazon's stuff won't stream to the chromecast (you have to cast an entire screen over to do it) because reasons.. It isn't a big deal though as most people don't care about amazon's streaming stuff though I just thought that I would point it out.

Roku plays nice with pretty much everything though and you even get a remote so I just use that personally. (actually my TV has a 4k roku built into it.. but I was going to buy a roku anyways)

 

If you're still within single-day driving distance in 2018, I'll legit DJ your wedding in exchange for a couch to crash on. Consider it a forum mazel tov
