Pros:
Not many pros, but could've been worse and goes by fairly quickly

Cons:
- Requester usually pays well, so this low pay is disappointing and hopefully an outlier
- Obnoxious "not a robot" check where you type a mini paragraph. It's excessive
- Write a "name a time" experience, but unlike other surveys, its related so not quite as annoying

Spoiler: wtf; survey content but it is okay

Andrew is an MTurk worker who works out of his home in southern Ohio. Taking surveys on MTurk is his primary source of income, since he hasn't been able to find available work in his area with his level of qualifications. He often works 16 hours a day to make enough money to pay his bills. Unfortunately, given the low hourly wages on MTurk, Andrew still falls short.
He recently took a HIT that paid for 15 minutes, but it actually ended up taking him an hour. "I felt so ripped off and frustrated that I nearly cried," Andrew said. In a moment of anger, he sent the Requester an extremely livid and unprofessional email about how the Requester had extorted him and taken advantage of his labor. Shortly afterwards, he discovered that his MTurk account had been suspended. He currently doesn't have the money to pay for his next meal.

 

If Andrew is taking a full hour on tasks that should take 15 minutes, mturk wasn't for him in the first place.
