Wow. That's light?

Our entire usage for March was 342 gb and Feb 388 gb. Yeah, we aren't home all day but kid had spring break in March and was gaming his fool ass off all day long.

And I stream a lot of videos. But not 4K or anything. Just normal boring HD.

If you have a few people with twitch or youtube streaming stuff all day (fairly common) you will easily use a shit ton of data. Some people watch netflix as well and that is 3GB/hr ish for HD and 7GB/hr ish for 4k.

Oh and gaming doesn't use much data but he might have had twitch up or something along with that if he was using a bunch of data.

 

Oh I forgot I watched a lot of Twitch. Sometimes I'll just play someone's stream in the background on mute and check in occasionally which is why I guess I have 600gb.

 

Just got some bad news about a relative. They were rushed to surgery for a hole in their intestines and are now in ICU with sepsis. She's on a ventilator and it's not looking good. I'll take all of the good vibes you can spare. We have a very strained relationship but I'm so worried for her and the rest of the family.

If you have the quality maxed @ 60fps etc on twitch that can eat up a ton of data if your internet is fast enough.

So your router just sucks and doesn't have QOL? I'm assuming that he is using your equipment if is calling.

 

Yeah, I guess with more people more data usage.

it's just the two of us most of the time. I stream a huge portion of what I watch between Netflix, Hulu and Prime. Plus our phones use wifi data when home (which probably isn't much, unless he's facetiming a friend while gaming?)

AFAIK he doesn't use Twitch. If he does, he does when I'm not home.

Though in checking these numbers I saw a ginormus spike in data usage at about 3:30 pm yesterday afternoon and hm. He's not supposed to be on his gaming computer until I get home.

But maybe that was him on his school laptop accessing school servers for homework.

 

That sounds more like porn streaming to me.

 

Most people use Discord while gaming.

I mean, he is like 14 after all.
