    The creator has a website http://pandacrazy.allbyjohn.com/ that has helpful info.


    When you look a hit on mturk you'll see a pair of buttons at the top. 'Panda' and 'Once'. 'Once' will tell it to grab only one hit from that group, 'Panda' will tell it to grab as many as it can. From the Hitcatcher page you'll be able to turn those pandas on or off. This is the same for both HitCatcher and Panda Crazy.

    As for what a panda is: when you look at a hit the url at the top will say preview?groupId=# . If you accept a hit and click the 'accept next' check box and then submit you should see that the link changes to previewandaccept?groupId=# . That PreviewANDAccept link is what we call a PandA for short. The script is basically just refreshing that link over and over to try to accept a hit.

    This. There is a lot to be said for simplicity and elegant design - especially for new workers. @Kadauchi's work blows PC out of the water in that regard and I don't even think PC's extra "functionality" will even be worth it by the time Kada is done.

    I only don't suggest HC because it has a ton of bugs currently. And I actually use it myself lol.

    What does HC even accomplish? Isn't the most optimal setup still Crazy Panda in conjunction with mturk suite?

    Panda crazy has a bunch of default hits included, if you like them you can try to do them but don't turn everything on at once. Only turn on the ones you want and only a few at a time. You can turn on individual jobs by clicking the collect button.

    Here's a scenario on why and how to panda a certain HIT. Requester X publishes 50 HITs for Survey Y with a timer of 30 mins. 50 Workers accept the HIT before you get a chance to accept it, so you add the HIT to a HIT-catching script. 10 of those Workers realize they can't work on the HIT because they did it before. Over the next 30 mins, those workers return their Survey Y HITs. Your HIT-catching script is visiting the 'previewandaccept' url for Survey Y and automatically accepts one of those returned HITs before it even shows up on a HIT Search page.

    Honestly, I started using PC based off of your suggestion and it was weird at first but once I learned it, I never touched TM again.
