You sure you're dirts still viable? Try picking up a bag of anything and tossing it where you want to grow. We had a patch of just unusable dirt because the previous owner ONLY grew things there. Dug that up and replaced it with fresh soil and everything was happy.

For me, I had to wait until they had a waterproof version, since I have a pool up all summer. I would have bought one earlier if it was waterproof. Series 4 was the first one that was waterproof. However, when it came out I was super close to paying off braces and something else so I delayed buying it.

Until the same year I need a new phone, lol.

But we have a super awesome grandfathered plan so my iPhones start at $250, then go up if I get more storage or bigger screen. The people at the AT&T store didn't believe me when I said I still get my phones that cheap until I pulled up the web page and showed them when I was buying my kid's new phone. So while it will be a lot of money for sure, I won't be paying a grand for my phone for sure. (And I might push off the phone for another year, I'll see what finances are in the fall. My phone is still working ok at the moment.)

    Snails, maybe?

They eat all my stuff when I'm asleep. I hate them. They've eaten every single strawberry that has shown up so far (though they don't eat the plants).

my cucumbers are doing great, they're still inside though. i brought some watermelon outside last week, and they got way too much sun right away and got scorched. Thankfully i still have some watermelons indoors still, i just need to make sure ease them into full sun rather than trusting them to take a full day of sun right away. Perhaps they're getting too much sun while still a seedling?

Beer! Let them get drunk and die. Take a cup of beer and just let it sit out and they will off themselves for you.

that salt better not be straight to the soil o_O

another idea for slugs is a copper wire around the plant's base, but that really just deters the smaller slugs

Totally works until the first time the water comes on, then that waters down the beer. lol.

I know how to control snails, but nothing eliminates snails, so they keep showing back up!! :emoji_snail::emoji_snail::emoji_snail::emoji_snail::emoji_snail:

Just this morning I went out and picked up about 50 snails and put them in my green can for recycling. (It's a green waste recycle can, full of snails already from stuff I've pruned.) Removing snails from my yard physically seems to work the best to control them. Get them young before they make baby snails.

quote allll the things because i'm too slow to reply quickly apparently, lol

seriously, i always tell people how cucumbers are the easiest. they go in the ground and get watered the end. it's gardening4dummies101. my zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, and herbs are all happy as can be, but cucumbers keep peacing out.

same garden i've always used, but i've always moved plants around yearly appropriately, next to plants it gets along with, new soil when i planted them, tons of rain which cucumbers usually love. the only thing i can think of is that the weather is a little cooler still? and i didn't put mulch down yet? but they're the only thing dying, and they're the easiest thing.

i just got a strawberry plant last week and it's super happy still. i've had bad luck with berries here (besides my mulberry tree) but this one is :emoji_fingers_crossed: doing ok so far :emoji_fingers_crossed:

that's really the only thing i can think of. i did start earlier than usual, and this weather has sucked balls.

I'm not much help on the garden front. We've had our plants in the ground since the third week of March and will be picking by the end of May. We've lost a couple of the plants, but for the most part they've just been out there to fend for themselves besides watering if they need it, which they don't cause it's rained so much.

Nah. I was slug hunting. lol

I have my strawberries up on this yard art thing a former tenant made out of recycled copper strips. Litearlly 80% of it is copper. The ashholes still make it to the strawberries, lol (I container garden strawberries.)

But I do use copper bender board and copper tape everywhere. It does help.
