I do tons of Qualtrics and have never had any issues. I surely would have come across something by now

 

How can you tell not taking their cookies would have gotten you a reject?

I think it has something along the lines of they can't prove you did the first one or something. I could be WAY wrong though.

 

I am glad your landlord does this! Lots of good people need a little help sometimes.

I rent through the agencies because I can't afford the risk of renting to a similar base of tenants on my own. If I could, I would, but I can't (duh, if I could would I be turking, lol?)

But I found a way to afford my values. And the agencies are grateful that I'm a reasonable landlord and realize there will be a higher than normal level of issues with (some) of their clients, as I am grateful they financially stand behind any damages their tenants cause.

The worker I just spoke to is like me and gets really upset when clients they go out of their way for (even buying them appliances like washers and dryers and furniture, etc.) take advantage of them like this. The clients know the rules, it is made clear to them they'll lose housing if they violate them, yet...here we are. So the worker is on her way out there right now ready to kick people out of the garage.

Also, if you are illegally living in a unit, why fight so loudly that the neighbors can record you? If they had stayed quiet, chances are no one would have noticed as inspections are always scheduled.

 

They used qualtrics continue feature that is saved on the cookie. I suppose that you could keep the survey open without closing the tabb but that also means you are fucked if you accidentally close a tab with a survey in it.

 

People can be real asshats.

I'm sorry jerkfaces made fun of cookies you made from scratch. I hope they never get homemade cookies again for the rest of their lives.

 

How did you find this out. Did you monitor the cookies that your browser was accepting? I would think that with their high incident of issues with cookies that they would know better than to rely on them for the continuation of a study. Theres no way that they havent received word that people are always deleting qualtrics cookies just to be able to open a lot of their hits

 

When I opened the survey back up it said something about putting me back on the spot that I was before. If you open the same URL in porn mode it will put you at the start of the survey.

I will just write an extension that selectively accepts cookies for watched domains then, and still be able to block the unnecessary ones. But it would be a much smarter idea for them to record your area of continuation on their side and when you entered your MTurk ID it would have your spot bookmarked

 

That sounds like way too much effort. Why don't you just take 2 seconds to delete the cookies if it is ever an issue.

 

btw most requesters that aren't clueless just use a new survey instead of keeping the same one anyways. I've seen it happen though mostly on masters requesters.

 

It would be really easy for me. I will just keep it switched on until I do a two part survey which is not that often

 

I've only ever had an issue where I need to clear my Qualtrics cookies like twice
