    The crazy hail storm the other day netted me $4500. Allstate adjuster said I needed a new hood, roof, driver door and rear driver side door. I'd rather pocket the money and have some dents in my truck.

    100% about Rory. She never had to earn anything in her entire life. She was the town's star child, and she was happily doted on in the higher society with her grandparents. She faces a little stress and she crumbles and expects everything to fall in her lap for her, and when it doesn't she just keeps crumbling.

    Yesss, exactly this. I'm the same age as Rory, so when it aired I totally identified with her. Watching it over, I realized how shitty she is. And also as an adult, you get to see how absolutely dysfunctional their relationships with other people are. Like, there can be an entire unhealthy relationship warning guide based on just Dean. Ughhh.

    Yeah, idk if you've listened to the Gilmore Guys podcast, but that's their consensus too, is her mom tried to keep her from that world, but she ended up in it anyway and gained that sense of entitlement (and like you said, a whole town pretty much worships her).

    Once upon a time, the great King of Mechanical Turk wanted to show favour to a select few of his peasants that he was particularly fond of, and so he knighted them with the qualification Masters. These masters—there were two types of them; one bishop for white squares and one for black squares—were given full reign over the land, and could accept any and every HIT without having to face the Dreaded Captcha Tax, awarded to simpletons every 35 HITs or so to prove their citizenship in the land of Human(or at least humanoid).

    Allegedly these Masters had some sort of spark or special talent that made the Great King favour them, but to be frank (since narrators in this sort of tale are always 100% frank and reliable; there are some perks to the omniscient third perspective), no one really knew what made the King award some peasants and not others.

    A few more brave chaps occasionally journey into the depths of the Qualifications and put in a request for Masters, but such quests are of little use, as none has ever returned to the village successful.

    Sadly, as the years went by, the Masters qualifications continued to appear (or, more likely, not appear) less and less frequently, until at last the last few were given out in December 2015, and nothing has been heard from the King since. The hall of the masters is, for now at least, quite closed to the public.

    And thus concludes the story of the Missing Masters.

    Masters is a qualification that Amazon handed out to some people for some reason. They say it is because they do better work and charge the requesters more for using a masters qualification.
    Does this sound jaded? I am seriously trying to be objective. :emoji_thinking:
