Yeah, if you're planning on serious off-roading, it's pretty helpful.

Haven't you ever seen My Cousin Vinny? Marissa Tomei explains it in the end.

Honestly, better to sell the collection to someone who cares more about the cars and will take better care of them than leave them to rot in the garage of someone who doesn't have the same hobby.

You definitely want a locker or at least a limited slip. If you are gonna still take it on the road a limited slip is the best option. An open differential allows power to go to the wheel with the least resistance so that you don't scrub your tires bald in corners. This gives you the one wheel wonder burnout. A limited slip "locks" so that both tires get power until a large amount of force i.e. corner opens the diff so the inside tire rotates free. A true locker is essentially one solid axle corners are herky jerky and not a ton of fun on your wallet replacing your tires really often. True lockers work best in cars for drag or strictly off-road use. I'm sure someone has answered by now but I put in a Yukon Gear Limited Slip in my Chev it has a 3.73 final drive and that made a great difference in the mud and snow.

Taking care of old cars is basically just letting them sit in a garage.

Most of the kids in your HS were 17 y/os still in 9th-10th grade?

I'm not talking about like college prep or w/e it is for kids a little behind, we didn't have an alternative school, these were kids who were seriously waiting to hit 18 and then go to prison. Like a dozen kids shoved into a mobile classroom & all the normal teachers would threaten to send you out there if you dicked off in class lol.

Buying a Jeep is a good way to go broke. The aftermarket shit is a money pit.

    OF COURSE I HAVE!

I was just making a joke, since I listen to Matt explain every single part of the jeep, the motorcycles, the dirtbike, every plane he has ever worked on, CONSTANTLY AND ALL THE TIME.

The years of my life that I have spent handing him tools in the garage and sitting at track days and ordering parts.

It's not as if I didn't work on a race team myself, mind you.

College prep is the one just below honors there's like, a whole tier of normal working class students below that whose families literally cannot afford to send them to college and who get jobs the day they turn 15 that you're forgetting about.

Start 'em once in a while to keep seals in good shape and use only ethanol free gas if they are gonna sit at all.

True that. The aftermarket for a lot of midsize trucks is getting crazy too. I'll most likely stay away from the Jeeps. Leaning heavily towards a truck because I like to be able to haul stuff without a trailer.

I use that gas stabilizer. That stuff is amazing. Military uses it for storing their trucks. Lasts forever and you don't have to worry about regular gas anymore.

I drive my cuda about once a month. Sometimes more if I have a girlfriend. :eyebrows:

This has just reminded that my car got hit by some old in the parking lot of a mexican restaurant yesterday. Now I'm angry again. The car is only a year old. I'll probably just take the car and the insurance money and trade them in for a new one.
