I know you mentioned being a newer requester so it may be worth pointing out that Masters hasn't been given out in over a year and the selection process prior to that has often (and loudly) been questioned by workers (and some requesters) without any real good answers. Mostly it seems like a legacy idea AMT thought was good at some point but has since abandoned but continued to reap the fees from. Like the rest of the mTurk worker pool there are good workers w/ masters, and there are honestly some awful ones lol. Either way its probably not worth the extra fees at this point in time unless AMT comes back to fix the system.

Ditto for the premium quals, which if you peruse here you'll find many angry ladies who despite filling out the forms correctly are marked as males or genderless by Amazon's fantastic system haha.

 

Hey now, some of us males are marked as genderless as well. We're the ignored gender.

Mine went from 9 out of 12 and instantly dropped to 3, and now is up to 4. Seems like something goofy is happening.

This just proves how bad the average master is.

Serious though we have someone on here that got masters after they stopped working and had ~2k approved hits.

meh expected more after those last 2 days but all in all it was a good project
and boom $150 before lunch....time to take the weekend off I deserve it....that's wussup

 

Ok, I'll post more HITs for "Guess the correlation and get up to $10" that requires no Maters qual. We are already learning a lot from his pilot
