I think DDR is reaching that level. In The Groove left very big shoes to fill when they brought the high stamina songs in 4 panels. There are some ridiculous songs out there in DDR.

I picked up a metal hard pad at Goodwill for $5 a few years ago for DDR. They are so much better than the plastic that slip everywhere.

Update R21 was one of the best things ever. I used to go to the arcade every day to ad new songs and give new songs for people to play with. The cab was a crapocab but the workers always gave it maintenance because they would also play. Here in PR there are a varied selections of DDR's: Extreme,Supernova, Supernova2, X, and X3. There's a rumor going on that when the Dave and Buster's opens, they will have a DDRA. Not holding my breath.

I stopped buying pads when I started to frequently go to the arcade. I miss it though. My buns and thighs are gone.
