    Thanks, everybody. So many helpful comments and great advice. I'm feeling a little better about things, now. I guess I'm on the right track. I just need to be patient with myself and be persistent. Really glad I found Turkerhub. Y'all are great! :D

    I'm like you in that I would never pull for Clemson, but I realized while watching the women's game that I would probably be willing to root for Clemson women in a championship game.

    The things I use most of the time: 10" cast iron skillet, 6qt dutch oven, 1-2qt sauce pan, big stock pot, a casserole dish or two, chef knife (one is the expensive shun, but most times I use the cheap victorinox one I got for $30 5 years ago), big plastic cutting board (I also have a wooden table that doubles as a cutting board), wooden spoon, stiff silicon spatula, whisk, measuring cups & spoons, digital scale, big & little cheap cookie sheets, a couple extra cheap aluminum skillets for when I need to be cooking multiple things, OXO pepper mill, cheap colander.

    I've got a bunch of other stuff, but I think this is probably what I would want to have at a minimum...I'm probably forgetting a couple things...

    yeah, I tried to get into using Santoku knives, but I find I really prefer my Chef knife. It's either way really.

    I've been able to still use FF just fine, but I guess some other people have issues with submitting it at the end.

    What scale do you use? I'm looking to get one actually. That and a veggie spiralizer thingy.

    I have the hella small hands of a child, so brisk chopping is way easier for me with Santoku. That's what I used when I took classes too so I'm sure that's a huge factor. When a brusque frenchman waved a finger at me and handed me one of those babies instead, it was a life altering moment lol.

    Generally speaking you sit there and stare at people who make $300 off of it because they have the qual. It's one of those things that isn't given out anymore and if you've got it, you're good. If not, you pray they release it again ;)

    Haha I had the same moment watching it. I don't mean to disparage Title IX here but it just doesn't feel "real" enough to muster the hatred for. Might say the same for shit like men's golf though tbh.
